Community guidelines

Health and Medic is a verified professional platform. The signal-to- noise ratio depends on real names being verified privately, real experiences being shared publicly, and bad-faith content being held out. These rules exist to keep all three working.

• Opinions about pay, hours, work-life balance, training quality, growth, perks, infrastructure, leadership style, on-call burden, and clinical autonomy.
• Factual statements about the institution that you can back up from your own experience.
• First-person experience phrased as opinion ("I felt unsafe on night shifts").
• Salary band (we ask for a range, not a number).

• Names of individuals. Not managers, not colleagues, not patients. The company name is fine; people aren't. Reviews naming individuals are auto-rejected pre-publication. You can resubmit with names redacted.
• Patient information. No clinical anecdotes that could identify a patient — even pseudonymously. This is non- negotiable; resubmit isn't an option.
• Allegations of crime against named individuals. Sexual harassment, theft, fraud, malpractice — these are serious and require a real channel. We'll route you to grievance@ for a different process.
• Identifying details about colleagues. "Female resident, 2 years, ENT, tier-1 city in 2024" can identify someone in a small specialty community. Don't.
• Profanity directed at a person. Slurs in any Indian language or transliteration — auto-rejected.
• Off-topic. If the review isn't about working at the company, it goes back.

• Defamatory, misleading, or knowingly false content about any person or company.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or stalking.
• Doxxing or sharing personal contact info of others without consent.
• Spam, bulk messages, or attempts to manipulate ratings.
• Pretending to be someone else.
• Content that violates Indian law (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, IT Rules 2021, DPDP Act 2023, Consumer Protection Act, advertising regulations on medicine).

• Every review is held until a moderator approves it.
• We use the rules above as a checklist. Borderline calls go to a second moderator.
• On approval, your review goes public anonymized — only your role category and tenure ("Resident, 2y") show, never your name.
• Posts and messages aren't pre-moderated; the report button on every piece of content sends the item to the moderation queue, and we acknowledge within 24 hours.

We track moderation findings against your account.

• 3 active strikes → moderators flag your account for review.
• 5 active strikes → automatic suspension.
• Strikes age out after 90 days.

Suspensions and bans can also be issued directly without strikes for clear-cut violations.
